Centers began in 2004, with an office in Forest Grove, under the direction of Sean Steward, M.D. The following year, he opened a second office in Wilsonville. In late 2011, a third office was opened in Beaverton. Dr. Steward saw a need in the community for walk-in medical care, to address medical concerns that were too urgent to wait for appointments with primary care providers, yet not urgent enough to warrant a visit to the emergency room, which is significantly more costly.

In 2006, after a number of requests from patients, Dr. Steward began to take primary care patients into his family medical practice.
